As part of its partnership with the Royal Belgian Hockey Association, Fintro is also sponsoring the EuroHockey Championships from 17 to 25 August in Boom, Belgium.
Fintro kicks off its campaign for EuroHockey with a viral video showing their female marketing manager explaining why Fintro has chosen to sponsor the Belgian hockey teams.
The lady convinces her colleagues that there is no better place to put your logo than on the beautifully toned rear end of a hockey player, assvertising as it were. View the video.
Fintro's partnership with the Royal Belgian Hockey Association (2012-2016) has linked Fintro's image to a sport that is enjoying growing popularity in Belgium and showing core values such as respect, fair play and professionalism that perfectly match Fintro's positioning.
The EuroHockey showcases the increasing quality of hockey events in Belgium and profits from a steady rise in spectators.
On the way to Rio 2016 – Belgian hockey has been on a winning streak for several years now: member numbers have increased and Belgian clubs have achieved excellent results in the Euro Hockey League. The men qualified twice in a row for the Olympics and achieved 9th place in the world ranking. The Belgian women's team is moving in the same direction and qualified for the Olympics for the first time in 2012.
After the Red Lions' magnificent performance at the World League in Rotterdam earlier this year, Fintro will continue to help the Royal Belgian Hockey Association to achieve its big ambitions. The main objectives are a medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio for the men and a place for the women in the top 8.
Entertainment on the field – Fintro created a smartphone app allowing everyone to give our Belgian hockey players a pat on the rear end. With the so-called Fintro Shout Out app, you can record your cheer at home or elsewhere. The best cheers will be amplified in the stadium during the EuroHockey games. Those whose cheers are played at the stadium will receive a video recording which can be shared on Facebook. The app can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play, or at www.fintroshoutout.be
In the stadium Fintro will welcome visitors at their stand which is used for several events, including four signing sessions with the Red Lions and the Red Panthers on 17, 18, 23 and 25 August. Visitors can also record their Shout Out there and various supporter gadgets will be handed out.
Fintro will also make a cashpoint available to visitors.
Social media – Fintro is a pioneer in the use of social media (such as Facebook) by its independent agents and aims to strengthen its presence on the Belgian banking and insurance market through this channel. Having registered over 23.000 fans on Fintro’s pages, this medium offers an opportunity to approach new target groups such as young people and hockey lovers. Fintro is trying to bring hockey closer to the general public and will actively use social media to attract new supporters during the campaign.
