Following a comprehensive survey of HR policies at a number of Belgian companies, the Top Employers Institute has awarded BNP Paribas Fortis certification as one of the ‘Top Employers Belgium 2014’. In addition to Belgium, BNP Paribas has also received this HR quality seal of approval in France, Italy, Poland and Turkey, leading to regional certification as one of the ‘Top Employers Europe 2014’.
This certification is conferred by the Top Employers Institute (formerly the CRF Institute), following an annual survey into the working conditions that employers create for their people. The Institute assesses companies on the basis of such criteria as employment terms and conditions, fringe benefits, the working environment, training and development, career opportunities and company culture. ‘Top Employers’ are those firms which offer their employees excellent conditions, take steps to develop talent at all levels of the organisation and seek to make continuous improvements in the working environment.
The Top Employers Institute gave BNP Paribas Fortis its seal of approval due inter alia to the outstanding quality of the Bank’s communication channels, the various training programmes available to staff, the flexible working conditions and the range of activities organised for newcomers. In Belgium BNP Paribas Fortis is one of 47 companies receiving the Top Employers Belgium 2014 label.
“We’re delighted to have been named one of the ‘Top Employers’ in Belgium,” commented BNP Paribas Fortis Chief HR Officer Bert Van Rompaey, adding: “At BNP Paribas Fortis we believe that a good working environment is essential if we are to have satisfied and motivated staff. We continue to invest in the future of our employees, helping them to develop their talents to the full and also giving them the opportunity to achieve a flexible work-life balance through such options as working from home. In addition we encourage internal job mobility and pursue a determined diversity policy because we’re firmly convinced that diverse teams deliver better performance.”
