100,000 – that’s the number of fans now subscribing to the BNP Paribas Fortis Facebook page. This figure is also a symbolic reminder of just how important social media have become for the Bank’s communication and for the extraordinary dynamism of our brand.
BNP Paribas Fortis has been on Facebook since December 2011 and today the popularity of our page in French and in Dutch is indisputable. Every week over 560 extra visitors click the ‘Like’ button.
Adding together the 56,000 fans of the page in French and over 45,000 fans of the Dutch-language page, we see that BNP Paribas Fortis has speedily passed the milestone of 100,000 fans, confirming that we are the number one bank on Facebook in Belgium. We are also on Twitter and YouTube and moreover all our branches across the country have since late August been geolocated on Foursquare.
The popularity of the BNP Paribas Fortis page is largely due to the fun, entertaining content we offer our Facebook community, combining product information, competitions, services and interaction around the world of banking.
