BNP Paribas Fortis Extends Partnerships with Belgian Contemporary Art Museums

BNP Paribas Fortis once again demonstrates its determination to be the bank for a changing world with a decision to take forward its existing partnership with the three most prominent Belgian contemporary art museums: the Dhondt-Dhaenens Museum in Deurle; Wiels – the Centre for Contemporary Art in Brussels; and the Museum of Contemporary Art (MACs) at Hornu.

This cooperation initiative will continue to provide Belgium’s contemporary art scene with the support it deserves, in line with the bold multicultural vision pursued by the BNP Paribas Group.

In 2011 this partnership between BNP Paribas Fortis and the three leading Belgian contemporary art museums resulted in three highly acclaimed exhibitions, showing work by Alina Szapocznikow (Dhondt-Dhaenens), Tobias Rehberger (Wiels) and Michel François (MACs).

BNP Paribas Fortis has decided to take forward during 2012 this innovative cooperation initiative designed to provide contemporary artists with the support and backing which their work merits. The exhibitions that will benefit from this ongoing support are:

WIELS, Centre for Contemporary Art – Exhibition by  Belgian conceptual artist Joëlle Tuerlinckx:  'WOR(LD)K IN PROGRESS?'
from 22 September 2012 to 6 January 2013

Dhondt-Dhaenens Museum – Exhibition of the work of Belgian ceramic sculptor Johan Creten

Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC’s) – S.F. [Art, Science & Fiction]
