As part of its financial support to the Belgian not-for-profit associations, BNP Paribas Fortis Foundation launched today its 5th annual call for projects.
Through the Awards programme, the Foundation provides financial assistance to educational projects of charitable organisation working to help underprivileged children and young people to integrate successfully into society.
Since it was started in 2010, this initiative already enabled to finance over 200 projects in a total amount of 2.3 million euro.
In 2014, up to 83 projects will be granted regional Awards worth a total of 730,000 euro. The award-winning projects will be selected by regional committees, staff and clients of the bank. Like in previous years, one or several additional Awards will be allocated by a national selection committee, representing an additional budget of 25,000 euro.
From this year, new priorities will be applied in granting the Foundation’s Awards. In particular, more emphasis will be laid on projects aiming to combat poverty. In this country, 424,000 children live below the poverty line, a number which is unfortunately constantly on the rise.
Projects can be filed with the Foundation until 16 May 2014. A brochure containing full information and the on-line registration form are available in Dutch and French on http://my.foundation.bnpparibasfortis.be/fr/.
