This month, twelve-year-old Henri de Beauffort made his début as a soloist at the internationally renowned opera house La Monnaie/De Munt. No mean feat.
Henri has been a member of the Children’s and Youth Choir of La Monnaie/De Munt for two years now and dreams of going on to become a soloist. In the video below, our compatriot tells us in one minute about his passion and his first experience in the world of opera.
At BNP Paribas Fortis we are proud that, as the sole partner of the training projects run by La Monnaie/De Munt, we can help Henri realise his childhood dream. Because we have confidence in the new generation and together with La Monnaie/De Munt we want to offer them a springboard to artistic development.
BNP Paribas Fortis has been a loyal partner of La Monnaie/De Munt for almost 40 years now and as of this season, is also the sole partner of the Children’s and Youth Choir and the MM Academy (Munt/Monnaie).
The Turn of the Screw is a psychological opera-thriller by Benjamin Britten, the most famous British opera composer of the 20th century. Henri performs the role of Miles, a 10-year-old boy who is caught up by dark forces and ultimately succumbs entirely.
Nevertheless, helping young talents to develop is still Positive Banking.
