BNP Paribas Fortis and BP²I (BNP Paribas Partners for Innovation, a joint venture between BNP Paribas and IBM), today announce the signature of a 5-year agreement.
With this agreement, the IT Infrastructure provisioning services of BP²I delivered to other BNP Paribas Group entities will be extended to BNP Paribas Fortis.
BP²I will allow BNP Paribas Fortis to make significant savings by harmonising the IT infrastructure between BNP Paribas and BNP Paribas Fortis. ”Combining the IT expertise of BNP Paribas Fortis with BNP Paribas and BP²I will benefit to everyone”, explains Gilles Cordesse, CIO of BNP Paribas.
In signing this agreement, BNP Paribas is expanding its existing partnership with IBM, which began in 2004. IBM closely works with the BNP Paribas Group, supporting its future business initiatives and global ambitions , while consolidating certain BNP Paribas IT infrastructure services, securing resilience capabilities, improving productivity and helping the Bank to deliver high-quality services to its clients.
The agreement has no impact on the internal employment in Belgium.
