BNP Paribas Fortis is deeply committed to Belgian sporting and cultural life. We support major national events, but also many local and regional initiatives. Our sponsorship policy is based on four pillars: culture, film, tennis and football through RSC Anderlecht.
2.1.1. ENGAGED SPONSORING

Sustainable and diversified support

Sponsorship at BNP Paribas Fortis goes beyond just financial support. As an organisation that is active, fair and socially engaged, we establish sustainable and lasting relationships with our partners. In this way, we make long-term commitments to a very socioculturally diverse audience.

A passion for tennis

BNP Paribas Fortis has had a close relationship to tennis for over 40 years. Established in 1973, the partnership with Roland Garros is one of the longest in sporting history. In the Belgian tennis world, we are also recognized as a key partner. We have strong links with the Association Francophone de Tennis and Tennis Vlaanderen, the sister federations of the Royal Belgian Tennis Association. Our slogan, "We Are Tennis" testifies to the strong commitment we have and translates into logistical support for many events, at all levels.

Dedicated support for culture

Belgian culture and art is abundant! BNP Paribas Fortis contributes to develop this diversity not only through its commitments, but also as a sponsor of many prestigious events such as the Queen Elisabeth Competition. We maintain structural partnerships with La Monnaie, BOZAR and Flagey, three international references in terms of creation and the Arts.

We are the exclusive partner of "Culture au Cinéma", an initiative that allows audiences to be moved by the greatest operas and ballets of the New York Metropolitan Opera and the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, broadcast live on a giant screen at the Kinepolis cinema theatre.

We have also developed partnerships with three renowned museums: the MAC’s (Musée des Arts Contemporains) in Grand-Hornu, the Museum Dhondt-Dhaenens in Deurle, and the WIELS (Contemporary Art Center) in Brussels.

A partner of the big screen

BNP Paribas Fortis supports many initiatives in the Belgian film industry. As our country constantly shines on the big screen, we are present at the Magritte du Cinéma (Francophone-Belgian film prize), the Ensors (Dutch-Belgian film prize), at the Festival Anima, at the Be Film Festival, the FIFF (International Francophone Film Festival of Namur) and the FFO (Film Festival Oostende).

We also actively collaborate with the Cinevox platform dedicated to the Belgian film industry and stand beside the CINEMATEK (a reference in terms of preservation and promotion of film).

Every year in September, the BNP Paribas Fortis Film Days make film accessible to all by offering, during 4 days, screenings for only four Euros per film.

This wide range of support for the Belgian film industry is aligned to the objectives that BNP Paribas Fortis shares with the industry and with its values of accessibility, innovation and creativity.

A funding tool for cinema

Relying on its experience in the film industry, BNP Paribas Fortis has established its own film funding tool: BNP Paribas Fortis Film Finance. With tax benefits for investors, this tax shelter is one of the Belgian film industry’s main financial supports.
