Fortis Bank is the name of the company, the official name denoting the legal entity referred to in the articles of association and under which official publications are made. Any document issued by the company bears the Fortis Bank name.

The shareholders of Fortis Bank NV/SA (the name of the legal entity referred to in the articles of association) are BNP Paribas (74.93% of the share capital), the Belgian state (25% through SFPI/FPIM) and the public (0.07%).
