New Appointment at BNP Paribas Fortis

As of 1 March 2012 Emmanuel Buttin, 48 years old, will become the Chief Financial Officer of BNP Paribas Fortis. He succeeds Lars Machenil who has been appointed CFO for the BNP Paribas Group.

Since February 2009, Emmanuel Buttin has been Head of Accounting for the BNP Paribas Group. He started his career as an auditor at Price Waterhouse; he then joined the Paribas Group in 1997. Since the creation of the BNP Paribas Group in 2000 he has transformed the Finance department, enabling it to grow with the Group in a continuously changing normative and regulatory environment. Emmanuel has a degree in Commercial Law, Economics and Finance and is also an Accountant.
