On Wednesday 30 November, BNP Paribas Fortis was crowned ‘Best Bank in Belgium’ by The Banker magazine at a yearly award ceremony in London.

The Banker cited the main successes achieved in the past year including the fact that all BNP Paribas Fortis’s businesses performed well. Specifically retail banking’s operational figures – in terms of intake of deposits and providing loans – increased, allowing the bank to continue supporting the Belgian economy in a difficult environment. Additionally highlighted were the bank’s liquidity and solvency ratios, which comfortably exceed the requested levels.
